DRS meetings are open to all players. Membership supports our chapter, but is not required to attend.  Dues are primarily used to pay an honorarium to our wonderful Music Directors.  To join DRS, send us the contact form (Menu : More : CONTACT) and we will send you more information.

The Dallas Recorder Society welcomes you to become a member of our local chapter in addition to supporting our national organization, the American Recorder Society with membership available through their website.

Dallas Recorder Society Membership Benefits

Enable and support recorder playing as a shared social experience through:

  • Special classes and workshops that offer opportunities for continual growth as individual and consort players

  • Hosting professional recorder players and teachers from around the country in order to enrich our program

  • Bringing professional early music ensembles to perform in the Dallas/Fort Worth area

  • Outreach programs that promote the recorder as a lifelong instrument of musical joy and satisfaction


Yearly Membership Dues

We request, but do not require, members to pay the following dues in support of the Dallas Recorder Society and its chapter goals outlined above:

  • $50 for individual membership

  • $80 for family membership

  • $25 for student membership
